Fire Hose Testing

FireCatt uses the only remote, automated pressure release system in the industry, eliminating the dangerous practice of manually releasing high pressure at the end of each hose. FireCatt’s use of digital pressure transducers also removes all subjectivity found in other hose testing methods. Our results are scientific, data-driven and repeatable. Our process includes the following:

• Annual Service Pressure Test per NFPA 1962 standard, latest edition
• Identification number assigned using a barcode on each coupling and redundant marking on the hose jacket
• Inspect outer jacket, inner liner, couplings and threads
• Inspect gaskets and replace as required
• Lubrication of couplings using fire hose manufacturer approved 100% silicone lubricant
• Lubrication of all apparatus connection points using “Never Seize”
